Our Mission
At Cemetery Revival, our mission is simple: to provide respectful and professional gravestone cleaning and repair services; to teach and assist individuals, families, organizations and towns in cleaning and maintaining gravestones to preserve family and local history in Clinton and Essex Counties, New York. In this way, we are doing our part to ensure that future generations can appreciate the history and stories they hold.

Cleaning
Gentle and effective cleaning to remove dirt, moss, and other buildup, revealing the original beauty of the stone. It is a gentle and reverent process suitable for ages 8 and up.
Preservation
Taking action now to correctly clean the stones prevents further damage and deterioration from lichen, moss and more.
Our First Project: Old Burial Ground, Keeseville, NY
Early in 2025, we set our eyes upon the historic Old Burying Ground (aka Keeseville Old Cemetery). It was impassable but we knew that deep beneath the forest and thatch lay a real treasure! Taking a page from the Arlington National Cemetery's expansion project, goats and sheep (left) were soon set loose and they ate their way through decades of growth. The town brought in brush-busters and our volunteers hand-cleared around the stones so that bigger mowing equipment and tree-removal could be brought in. Soon, we were able to schedule our volunteer headstone cleanings, and were able to set stones up straight and proper.
Cemetery Revival is proud to have been a force in the community to rally locals and trained members to help this ongoing transformation!
